Pinterest Inspired Layout with Christmastime
Pinterest is one of my favorite sites to visit. I get inspiration from so many wonderful, crafty friends around the world. I was just enchanted by a lovely layout created by Finnabair. I love the simple layers of patterned paper strips, the soft addition of the round doilies, and the vintage lettering. I used all of those aspects in my latest layout with Christmastime.
I started by trimming 2 pieces of patterned paper to measure 7.75"x 4.5" and 8" x 2" and adhering to one of my favorite papers in the collection. I cut and inked several strips of paper in 4 different patterns measuring from 1/2" to 3/4" wide.
Next, I began adding strips of paper and punched doilies. I spelled out my title on cardstock and cut around the words. I stamped wings on cardstock and fussy cut. I carefully used my fingertip knife to cut slits in the photo to insert the stamped wings. I accented the layout with tiny flowers and self-adhesive pearls.
And, here is the finished layout. I'm so happy with the inspiration I received from Finnabair's beautiful layout. This photo of my sweet niece is ready for the holidays.
