Remembering December with a Daily Mini Album
Today I have the beginnings of what will ultimately be a mini album full of memories of December 2015.
For this album, I pulled together my favorite Authentique Christmas papers and quite a few of my favorite pieces from my stash of supplies and embellishments.
I wanted to really showcase quite a bit of the papers, and thought that the best way to do this would be to simplify my palette. I went traditional this year, so I am relying heavily on red, green and silver, with touches of black and kraft paper.
I chose to include pieces of both the Christmastime and Tidings line. Make sure to check out the Details Stickers, 6x6" Bundles, and the Enhancements pages for 2x3" images. The smaller patterns from the Bundles make perfect backdrops to pictures and journaling.
In my basket of stash materials, I have gone through my supplies and pulled together pieces that will add to my album: vellum, ink, washi tape, sparkle tape, embossing powder, a couple of stamps, Petaloo flowers, embellishments, tags and enamel dots.
I just matched the colors I was interested in including, then I tossed items into my basket and edited once I went through everything.
The album is a 6x8" album with pocket pages. I really liked that I could change up the size or number of photographs that I included for each day or event, as well as add in little extras like ticket stubs, receipts, or small items from those days.
Here are a few of the days that I have already prepped. I wanted to create a title page that had both some impact, as well as set the scene for the rest of the mini album.
Both the tree and the title are cut using my Silhouette. I also inked the tree with Versamark and used the silver embossing powder to add some definition.
To get you started on your journey to remember all of the fun things that you did in December, I have created this fun graphic using Jolly from Christmastime. I included 25 ideas that you can mix and match, include, switch, and have fun with.
Supplies:
Authentique Collections: Christmastime (Jolly, Sentimental, Evergreen, 6x6 Bundle, Details, Petite Diction); Tidings (One, Two, Four, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, 6x6 Bundle, Enhancements, Details); Believe (Authentic Life Cards)
Additional Supplies: album, Silhouette Cameo, vellum, ink, washi tape, sparkle tape, embossing powder, various stamps, Petaloo flowers, embellishments, tags, enamel dots, pre-printed die cuts
