Sweet Summer Picnic Memories with Cheerful

We are excited to have Tammy from Country Craft Creations as a guest blogger today! She is going to share a fabulous album using our Cheerful collection. Here's Tammy:

Hi! I had the pleasure of using Authentique Paper's new Cheerful collection for my project. If you adore vintage or retro this is definitely the perfect collection for you. 

This collection brings back such sweet summer memories. I particularly love the strawberries, gingham and picnic basket print on the papers.  

The album is quite large, as it was made to look like a recipe box and I wanted an album where I could store all of my BBQ and summer picnic recipes. 

The front of the box is made using the 12x12 Details sticker sheet, including the banner spelling out p-i-c-n-i-c. I backed the stickers with black cardstock and used pop dots to adhere them for dimension. All the flowers that you see on the box were handmade using the papers from this Cheerful collection.

  

The box opens flat to reveal the mini album and accordion file on the inside cover.  I used another one of the 12x12 Details cardstock sticker sheets for the picnic banner.  The sticker sheet was one of my favorite things about this line,  they are so bright and colorful!

On each page throughout the mini album you will see how I used the stickers repeatedly.  I backed them again with black cardstock for added detail.  The cut-a-parts located in the pockets from the 12x12 sheet of textured cardstock are perfect for journaling those special moments.

Next up, Authentique Paper Design Team member, Romy, shares a fresh layout, also using the Cheerful collection.

Sometimes a paper collection and a photo are a match made in heaven. That's what I thought when I saw the gorgeous Cheerful collection. I took this photo of some fresh strawberries during our trip to Valencia last year and it matched the strawberry papers in this collection just perfectly.

I included a lot of layering on my layout and matted the photo on several patterned papers as well as on a large doily. I inked the edges of the papers to make them stand out a bit more. 

The flowers and strawberries were cut out from the 12x12 pattern papers. I attached some of them to the layout with foam-tape and added pearls to the centers. 

The flowers and the ribbon in the corner were also cut out from one of the 12x12 pattern papers. The die-cut with "Life's simply pleasures" comes from the 6x12 "Components" textured cardstock die-cut accent sheet.
