A 'Cheerful' Mini Album

Design team member Kay Fatula has designed this adorable mini album using our Cheerful collection. It will leave you feeling just that....

Hello once again fellow Authentique fans! Kay here with a mini album that I've created with the latest 'Cheerful' collection. The name of this collection says it all! This collection is full of colorful papers & designs which makes it ideal for layouts or family themed mini albums.

For this mini album, I've created a couple of pockets & tags along with a waterfall and a signature. The front cover is kept closed with a magnet--which is a first for me. I've always used ribbon--magnets are definitely neater to use--am just hoping that it'll keep this mini shut once photos have been added!

I've decorated the front with mulberry paper daisies and poppies. The poppies are seen throughout the collection, so I felt that having them on the cover was befitting for this mini.

Inside the mini, there's a flip out that holds two pockets on the left hand side. In these pockets I've stored a couple of the 3x4" cutouts that come with the collections & a few tags that I've made with the leftover scraps.

On the right hand side of the flip out, I've made a belly band that holds an additional large tag & another 3x4" inch cutout. I've used one of the stickers from the collection as a stopper so that the tags & cards don't fall out of the mini.

Something new that I've never done before is insert a signature into a mini. I've created a signature where the covers are made with papers from the collection.

Inside the signature are different pieces of colorful scrap paper that I have in my stash. I've inserted a doily, printed acetate and other random ephemera into this signature.

The back of the mini has a waterfall. This one is the pull out waterfall type where you pull the tab on the bottom & the pages flip. I figured I'd try a different sort of waterfall this time around.
