Embellished Classic Christmas Boxes

Authentique Paper and Petaloo are teaming up over the next week to bring you tons of Christmas/Winter themed inspiration using Authentique Paper and Petaloo products!
Authentique Paper Design Team member, Heather has created some embellished gift boxes great for gift giving.
One of my favorite things to do for Christmas is to tuck little gifts and gift cards into handmade boxes. The little extra touches make just the perfect addition to a sometimes more simple gift.
The cute little Santa box was set off really well with the wonderful Regal Gold Poinsettias and Vintage Velvet Holly leaves. Classic Four was great for Santa's hat and the rest of the box, while simple cardstock was used for the rest of the face. On the no-glue gable box, I added one of the gorgeous Briar Rose Canvas Holiday mix and some of the lacy Petaloo Trims to the jingle bells of Classic One, and the lined paper of Classic Twelve.
For the window box, I used some of the amazing Classic Four. I really liked how the pretty plaid will peek out from behind the plastic sheet and anything I fill it with. I created my own holly bunch with a couple of Vintage Velvet Holly leaves and one of the berries from the Vintage Velvet Holly leaf pick. I set that off with a Regal Velvet Poinsettia White also.
The last of the gift boxes is a candy box. I wanted to use one of the green papers in the Classic Christmas line, so started with a piece of Classic Ten. Since the pattern was simple, I created a lot of interest with the embellishments. I used Pine Pick w/cones & berries and a Regal Velvet Poinsettia to contrast against the green. A little more of the Petaloo trim, and it was complete.
I hope that you continue to enjoy this week's blog hop with Authentique and Petaloo!
