A 'Colorful Christmas' Mini Album and 'Vintage Christmas' Photo Folios

Happy Holidays everybody!  Am here today with a few projects using a couple of Authentique's newest Christmas themed collections.  Before I continue, I should apologize for the quality of the photos.  I'm afraid that my Mac decided to call it quits this past week.  It refuses to boot up.  I've been on the phone with Apple's technical support staff for the past 3 days trying different approaches to get my laptop to at least boot up.  But no luck so far.  I smell a new fresh, shiny Mac in my future!  But I still have hopes for my Macbook Pro.  Luckily I store all of my important documents in an external drive--so I haven't lost anything of value which is why I'm still sane!  However, I do not have access to the usual editing software that I use for these posts.  So I did my best with online photo editors & created this post on my work laptop--it's the only working computer I have right now.

OK, onto these projects.  First up, I have a Christmas stocking shaped mini album.  This mini measures approximately 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" inches.  I've used a Sizzix die to create the base & have decorated all the pages with designer paper from the 'Colorful Christmas' collection.

Mini albums have been my 'thing' lately.  However, I truly enjoy the 'mini' concept.  The smaller the mini the more I like it.  Also, I enjoy working with shaped mini albums.  I like to stray from the typical square or rectangle mini albums.  I had this Christmas stocking die in my stash for a year.  I bought it with the idea of making a tiny mini album & well....here it is!

I've embellished the pages with several bits & bobs from my own stash but also primarily with stickers from the 'Colorful Christmas' collection that I backed onto black card stock & then cut out.

I held the mini together with a book ring & added tulle, twine & ribbon to further dress up the book ring.

The mini has a total of eight pages & has several 3" x 2" inch photo mats that I've cut out of gold glitter card stick along with a couple of red tags that can be used for journaling and/or for adding names & dates.

Next up I have these three photo folios made with 'Vintage Christmas'.  Through the years, I've ended up with  numerous photos taken at studios of my son that I had leftover after giving copies away to family & friends.  They've just been piling in my scrap room.  So I finally decided to give them a home.  I started off with storing all of my Christmas themed photos & plan on doing the same for the many Birthday themed photos I have as well.

I created three folios to store 4" x 6", 3 1/2" x 5" & 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" photos.

Here's the folio for the 4" x 6" photos.  I made these folios simple--they're meant to simply store a number of photos in one place.  That's basically it.  Short, simple & sweet!

The most that I had were 4" x 6" photos...there must be at least some 50 photos in this folio & I still have wiggle room for more.  So I like how these folios can store a large quantity of photos.

In this photo you can see the simplicity of the folio, no pockets no embellishments, nothing extra.  Just flaps around all sides to keep the photos from falling out.

These are the folios for the 3 1/2" x 5" & wallet sized photos.

They follow the same concept.  All the folios are kept closed with silver elastic.

Thanks for stopping by!  I had planned to leave a tutorial for the photo folios but since I have no laptop it wasn't possible.  Hopefully I'll be able to do a tutorial in the future.

May you enjoy the upcoming Holidays & have a fabulous & healthy 2018!  See you next year!!
