Fan Feature: Gorgeous Valentine's Day Projects

Hello fellow creators, we have two fabulous artists whose work caught our eye in the past month.  Both artists created some fantastic Valentine's projects and share them on our Everything Authentique Facebook Page. Nancy Hawes and Jerry Mena both have some amazing things to share with you today.

Nancy shares with us a little Flashback Friday with one of our favorite older collections, Beloved. We loved the details on each section of her holiday decor.

 Hi, I’m so excited to have my Love Blocks featured on Authentique's Valentine Blog Post. I teach monthly classes and sell kits of my creations. I love home decor projects, and making tags for each season and holidays are my favorites. I fell in love with the Beloved Collection the minute I saw it, the Cupid’s are so sweet and vintage!

The tags are so fun and simple to create:
Cut paper to desired size, next I mix and match the decorative paper.

Next I add the letters and decorate around them, I love to make vignettes on a few plain tags too.

One of my favorite things about Authentique is that they add a sweet little quote to the border of the paper and I try to incorporate in to my projects- it adds such a sweet touch - yes I use every scrap.

Use lots of pop dots for dimension along with stickles, rhinestones and other fun embellishments. Hope you enjoyed my project and have fun creating your own!

Supplies Used: Authentique's Beloved Paper Collection, gold metallic paper, black card stock, doilies, heart die cut, heart punches, Angel wing die cut (Tim Holtz), scroll die cut, rubber stamps, ribbon and a lace, Cricut, pop dots, corner rounder

Our second project was a beautifully textured mini album by Jerry Mena. Jerry's work has so many gorgeous details that we couldn't resist asking him to share more with us.

Here is a cute vintage Valentines mini album using Authentique Paper's Lovestruck collection.

To make this album I used one sheet of each paper of the collection. I used two 6x6 burlap canvases frame to create back cover and front cover ...

I designed my own binding to create 6x6 pages. I cut each sheet into 4 pieces to  use them for each page. 

  One of the pages I used to cut  each character for each page. 

Each page is distressed using Tim Holtz distressing inks...

I use foam dots to create three dimensional effects and used ribbons, jute cord and flowers for embellishments.
