Frontier Layout Fun!

Hello Friends!  Today I'm up on the Authentique Blog sharing with you a special 12x12 Layout.  This layout features the fantastic Frontier Paper Line.

Every year we travel about 4 hours away to Weaverville Ca for the 4th of July.  We have property there, and its THE perfect small town with parades, pancake breakfasts, rodeos and all the wonderful things we love about the holiday.  Its a family reunion for us, so we get very excited every year.

The pics are of my son, Tony and his cousin Cole.  They are 9 months apart and are like brothers.  They LOVE to go to Weaverville, and take part in all the fun and shenanigans!

Some fun elements I made for this layout, are the boot, stars and rosettes.  The Boot is a chipboard boot, covered in some of the paper from the line.  The stars were wood stars that I've used a rusting technique to make them look like old metal.  This technique is so much fun and the results are amazing.  The rosettes are the fantastic Tim Holtz die, that I use all the time!  One of my staples that I keep close in my stash.

Pairing these fantastic elements with the darling papers in the Frontier line, made this a fun and easy layout.  The papers are wonderful layered together!  I used to do a ton of layouts, and really enjoyed putting this together.  I really want to do them more often!  Enjoy and have a great week everyone!
