Autumnal Layouts with the Pleasant and NIghtfall Collections

I'll be honest; I'm ready for Fall to be here. Since it's not, I'll settle for playing with the best Fall-themed papers around: the Pleasant and Nightfall collections. I grabbed last year's Autumnal photographs and scrapbooked a bit for today's post. Both layouts featured the use of my Silhouette 3 machine with the Silhouette Design Store shapes.

For my first layout, I wanted to highlight the great fall colors, without overwhelming the photographs. I chose to highlight the lovely orange patterns of Pleasant Eight. Make sure to always check the backsides of the cut apart sheets, as they have amazing neutral patterns.
To start the layout, I cut the Hello Fall Leaf Wreath from Pleasant Four. I wanted to highlight the acorns, so replaced each of the acorn bottoms back into the cut file. Matching up each of the acorn bottoms to the corresponding acorn, makes this a seamless effect.
Since the two main papers are so neutral, I decided to back each of the photographs with the polka dots from Pleasant Three. Inking the edges elevates this just a little bit more.
To get the clustered look, I inked and layered pieces from the Pleasant Elements cardstock die-cuts. The yellow half-circle is the reverse pattern of the Elements die-cuts, cut in half. To finalize this layout, I added a bit of faux-stitching to add just a slight border and frame the wreath.
I had to continue the Fall theme with the second layout I created. I've been saving last year's Halloween photos for the perfect paper, and Nightfall is just gorgeous. I started by pairing Nightfall Two and Four for the background papers. I was having a blast playing with my Silhouette 3, and used the Pumpkin Background as the main feature.
Each of the pumpkins was backed with a pumpkin by the same Silhouette Design artist in varying papers. I liked the contrast of colors and patterns of Nightfall One and Three.
By pairing up stripes and dots, and a little inking, each of the pumpkins looks a little more interesting.

Smaller elements from the Nightfall Details stickers sheet added extra interest.
I loved this adorable sticker with the cat, since the colors matched the costumes of both girls.
I hope this inspires you to create a few Fall-inspired projects. Make sure to tag #authentiquepaper with your creations!
