Pleasant Fall Folio Tutorial
Hello, Friends! Are you as happy as I am that Fall is finally here? It's still a bit warm here in North Carolina, but the mornings and evenings are cooler, so I have hope that bright, crisp Autumn weather will soon be here. To help hurry the season along, I've created a lovely Pleasant Fall Folio Tutorial to share with you today. It's the perfect spot for all your favorite fall photos, memorabilia, and memories.
This tri fold folio measures 5" x 7" x 2". The base is created with chipboard, so it's super sturdy. Designed to stand alone for display, it doubles as fall home decor.
The patterns and images in Pleasant are so beautiful that I simply cannot stop playing with them!
Here's a peek at the first opening. I've used large magnets to hold the cover closed, so I could not add too many layers inside the cover an on the first fold. But I still managed to sneak in a little flap feature.
I modified the folio design by adding a page unit to each spine. Yes, I know that technically, a folio is not supposed to have pages, but I just couldn't help myself. There were too many lovely patterns and images!
To ensure that the folio will fold shut, you have to keep the embellishments at a minimum and on the "flat" side. The page units function as double waterfall features, so there's lots of room for photos.
And there are still plenty of fun, interactive elements to enjoy!
This folio pulls out from behind the central panel to reveal a pocket.
And this sweet folio pulls out of the pocket to reveal even more sweetness. There are many more features tucked into this folio, and I'll share them all with you in the video below.
I've also prepared a complete, step by step, easy to follow tutorial for you so that you can create your own Pleasant Fall Folio.
I'll be back later this month with more ideas for using this glorious collection. Until then, I wish you all a most "Pleasant" fall!
Cheerio,
kathy
