Winter Greeting Cards with Frosted
Hello there friends and Authentique fans! Ginny here sharing cards I created with the new Frosted collection. You need this collection. I mean for reals. It's so perfectly wintry and charming with sweet images and gorgeous paper patterns. Did I mention it's got purple? There is not enough purple in the crafting world in my opinion.
Of course I could not stop with one card. And yes there will be more. I haven't put the collections away yet!
This first card is a double z fold with a belly band. After lifting it I was shocked at how heavy it was so I counted the layers top to bottom is 30 yikes! But don't let that intimidate you...it's all simple cuts and double matting. It was really very easy to create : )
The band and the front section leaves me room to add the gorgeous images from the Elements die cuts for a nice focal point.
An arrangement of coordinating flowers here layered with chipboard snowflakes and stars.
After sliding off the band the double fold can be opened for a generous sized area to write a sentiment. An additional die cut creates a nice accent to the inside of the card.
This second card has that whimsical cup image. I fussy cut it from the journal card and popped it up on a spacers. I thought it would look nice for it to have a cozy so I created one with a sentiment from the Elements sheet then covered it with the hot chocolate label.
Here's a wintry inspired flower assortment with glitter stars and snowflakes tucked in.
I've added a bow of coordinating blue ribbon topped with a second bow of burlap, a vintage button, and a tiny silver skate charm.
A second smaller flower arrangement here for balance and a bit of Stickles on the whipped cream for accent.
Please enjoy this tutorial on how I created the double z fold card.....
Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) Ginny
