Happy Mother's Day from Authentique!

Mother's come in all different styles, by birth, adoption, friend, proximity, and so many other ways. Not all moms are the same, and not all took the same path to motherhood. Sunday though, we celebrate every single one of you. Thank you for all you do, and all you have done. We each have mothers and motherly figures who mean the world to us. We hope that this inspires you to also celebrate the mom you have in your life.

Mother's Day is bittersweet for me. My mom, who loved getting a card more than any other gift in the world, passed away in 2015. My mother-in-law, who is a wonderful, amazing lady, does not care for hand made cards. Plus, my kids are not big on making or buying me a card. So, I just make a pretty card for myself each year! I look at my card for a few days, then put it in my "sale" bin to bless some other amazing mom!
I used the Poised Collection to make this lovely black, gray, and yellow beauty! The fan image and the sentiment are from the Poised Elements Die Cut Cardstock sheet. (It's about time someone paid me a compliment, right?! hee hee)
I also wrapped up a small box with the coordinating paper and ribbon. (My box is empty, buy you be sure to fill yours for your mom!) This little ensemble will make any mom super happy! To see more photos and details, check out my blog, Scraps of Life. ~ Gloria Stengel

For Mother's Day, I've created a 'criss cross' card with the 'Dreamy' collection.  I haven't made this type of card in a couple of years.  I like the simple style of this card & how even though it's simple, it can still be decorated to be unique & is versatile enough to fit any occasion.

The card measures 6" x 6" inches.
I've used an card stock sticker from the 'Dream' elements to decorate the front.  I've further decorated the card with light green flat back pearls, fabric & mulberry paper flowers & gold washi tape.
In the background, I've also added a gold doily.
The inside slides out revealing a large space for writing the sentiment--even a photo can be added if preferred! Enjoy & Happy Mother's Day! ~ Kay Fatula

Supplies Used: Dreamy Collection, Dreamy Elements Card Stock Stickers, Other: Fabric Flowers, Mulberry Paper Flowers

Some of my happiest childhood moments were spent by my mother's side as she sewed furiously on her old White sewing machine.  I think this is when my deep love for color, pattern and design was born.  To honor my mom, who is no longer here on Earth, I created this 5" x 7" card folio using the Stitches Collection from Authentique.  Everything about this collection makes me think of my wonderful mom: the floral patterns, the shades of pink (Mom's favorite color) and the beautiful vintage sewing images.
This image reminds me so much of my beautiful mother, who always used the envelope system to manage our family's very tight budget.  I stitched the 3" x 4" image onto a handmade envelope, then
attached it to the card front with a pink bulldog clip.

You can find out how I created this feature on my blog where I'm sharing a special story in honor of my mom. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all the moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day.  Remember: it's the little things you do that make the biggest impact and it's the time you spend together doing simple things that make the best memories.  Happy Mother's Day! ~ Kathy Clement
