Youngster Mini Album
Hello there friends and Authentique Paper Fans! Happy Friday to you all. I'm kicking off the weekend by sharing a super fun and retro inspired mini album created with the amazing Youngster Collection. This selection of great patterned papers and retro images really has my heart. And did I mention plaid???? What's not to love!
Of course the inspiration for this mini is that cute image from the Elements Cardstock Die Cuts. I love me a good scalloped die cut! It's layered on another image from that Elements sheet. It was a little short so I simply clipped it and joined it with a schneaky little gap in the back and voila a perfect fit. I've worked in a smallish doily die cut from crisp white cardstock to break up the busy patterns. The large scalloped rectangle was fussy cut from one of the larger journal cards and was the deciding factor on the size of the cover. Popped up on spacers it really is a great frame for the rest of the layers. Coordinating flowers, sequins, and trims make fabby details and it's all tied up with pretty satin ribbon.
Utilizing an oval die cut topped with the collection paper and matching image the right hand page is just perfect for framing a larger picture. The left side has a tip in with one of the journal cut aparts.
With the next flip this mini shows a second page with a journal card tip in as well as a pocket holding a folded insert decorated of course with the super fun images.
The tip ins and the insert are all finished with the Spectrum cardstock with a subtle tone on tone pattern great for journaling and memory keeping.

Opening the tip in reveals a nice full page of that glorious plaid. So much room for pictures and journaling! I've used a double matting throughout not only because it looks cool but it also adds a great deal of weight and sturdiness.
