Endless Summer Memories Flip Folio Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  Summer is filled with so many adventures and events, that I thought it might be fun to create a special little place to store all the memories.  This Endless Summer Memories Folio measures 5" x 7".  I designed it with a unique gatefold/belly band opening and an accordion fold out.

This would make a great gift, or be the perfect place to tuck photos and journaling of summer pool parties.  

Today's tutorial will guide you through the basics of building the base, adding hidden pockets, flap features, and inserts.

The fun starts as soon as the magnetic belly band is removed.

This folio is filled with interactive elements and loads of room for photos.

It will also open out for display on a mantel or party table.

It's got a little bit of everything: hidden pockets, pull out folios...

...and even a tab topped shaker element with magnetic tab top closure!

I think you will learn a lot of little techniques in the tutorial that you'll be able to translate into all your card making and scrapbooking adventures.

  • Cut joined cardstock to 16 1/2" x 7:
    • Score on long side at 2", 2 1/2", 6 1/2", 7", 11", 11 1/2"
• Belly Band
  • 16 1/2" x 2"
    • Score at 4 3/4", 5 3/4", 10 3/4", 11 3/4" (Berrylicious)
  • 16 1/4" x 1 3/4" from Endless 5.  Line up with scored lines on Berrylicious
