I Love School Mini Album in Decor Box

Hello there friends and Authentique Fans! Ginny here to share a fun back to school inspired mini album that's just the perfect size to fit into a coordinating decor box. I'm using the Scholastic collection and even though I do not have grade school aged children anymore it was to create with.

I started with a ready made paper mache box and covered it in layers of the patterned papers.  This box has a cut out portion on top but I decided instead to cover that and add my detail in layers with spacers between for loads of depth and dimension. These flowers are all created with the Authentique papers. This arrangement is nice and full and helps to fill in the space by the tag focal point. The tag as well as the other sentiment are stickers from the 12 x 12 sheet. 

  I covered the "spine" like it was a book with that gorgeous plaid. The blue cardstock is the Old Glory Spectrum also from Authentique Papers. I think it goes pretty well with that plaid! A few additional details on the front are die cut stars from gold mirror paper, sequins, and an apple charm and vintage button.

The sides are finished with that lettering print. I elected to leave the box in it's natural Kraft color as I think it works really well with the yellow in the patterned papers.

I decorated the front of the mini album with additional flowers and an image from the cut apart sheet.  Remember this mini has to fit inside the box so I couldn't add tooo many bulky items to the front.

Completing the inside was a simple matter of mixing and matching the patterns . I was able to utilize some of the off cuts created from the outside of the box.

The stickers from the collection make great accents that are flat so they don't add bulk.

Larger die cut doilies topped with the patterned papers make perfect picture mats!

Each of the pages have a tip in created with the cut apart journal cards. On the back is lined paper so it's easy to document the memories that go with the pictures.

This mini is pretty chunky and fits perfectly in the box.
