Baking Cookies with Santa Layouts!
Happy Fall Everyone! I hope your enjoying this wonderful time of the year! I have been crafting with REJOICE! What a fun beautiful line! Its a perfect theme for the holidays and who doesn't have wonderful photos of cooking with their family?
Here are some close up of the elements in this layout, including the cutouts that are mounted and have rounded edges. Mounted Recipe cards and my die cut "cookies" for the decorations for the layout.
My second 2 page 12x12 layout has the same feel as the previous one, just continuing along the same way so all the layouts look great together! This time, I've added a "lift up" flap on each page.
I wanted to make my layouts with photos and recipes to document my cooking with my grandmother and her recipe for a yummy dessert she taught me. I've cut out the two recipe cards, mounted them and added some ribbon. This will be a great place to put the recipe on one of them and my journaling on the other. I've paired the darling paper with a Tim Holtz Cookie die and made my own cookies for the layout. I've used the cutouts and rounded the corners and matted them for added dimension. Add a few of my own embellies and ribbon and whalla you have a two page layout! The paper collection makes it so easy to make layouts.
mounted the recipe card onto a piece of cardstock that I've added a flap too
so that it will lift up off the layout so I can add either a photo or a journal card.
Here is a great shot of the cutouts that I treated a little differently. Two of them are just inked and popped up, and then the one in the middle, I've rounded the corners and mounted it as well as added the depth and dimension with pop foam. Added a little bling for fun!
Here is the other recipe card that flips up. On this one I've already added a secret photo mat for a silly photo or something blurry that I might want to remember.. lol!
I hope you are enjoying the layouts I've been doing lately! I am loving getting back into making them, but I do have lots of fun things in the works I can't wait to share with you!
