Baking Spirits Bright With Authentique Rejoice
Hello, Friends! It's the most wonderful time of the year: Holiday Baking Season! So many of our family celebrations are tied to creating special foods. So I thought I would whip up a little Rejoice Christmas Recipe Folio to hold all our favorite family recipes
This 8" x 8" folio is the same style as the Cup of Gratitude Folio Tutorial I shared with you here last month. I liked the folio design so much, I decided to work it up again using the festive papers from the Rejoice Collection Kit.
My thought in the design process was to create a recipe album that would also be a place to document memories and photos all in one spot. So there are loads of pockets, photo mounts, journaling spots, magnetic flap pages and mini folios between the covers of this festive folio.
I've also used Spectrum Green Thumb and Tricycle Red Cardstock in the construction of the folio. I love that it is color matched to the collection, creases beautifully and makes gorgeous photo mounts.
The cardstock component sheet is always filled with wonderful titles, borders, and small images that add a special touch to an album design. Here, I've used two of the scalloped circles as turn tabs, and the oval sentiment as a tuck spot on a photo mount.
The heart of this folio is the pocket waterfall feature. I created a standard 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" waterfall element, but added a little pocket feature on top so that the recipe cards can be tucked safely inside.
There's also a pull-out page with even more room for photos and recipes.
