4 Sheet Challenge for August Beach Folio

 Hello friends and Authentique Paper Fans! Ginny here with the August installment of my 4 sheet challenge using the Calendar Collection. 

The theme for the August pages is late Summer. We've gotten through 4th of July but we're not yet into back to school time.   This is perfect for where I live in Michigan where we enjoy beach time well into September. 

This may look like a card but it's actually the cover to a top fold pocket folio. 

The focal image is from the vintage image sheet. I used a nesting die to cut this into a circle with a cardstock border. It's layered over the patterned papers and topped with summer themed embellishments.

I created an arrangement of handcrafted flowers with die cut foliage and loopy twine bows tucked in.

Inside the folio is another beautiful vintage image turned into a pocket to hold a tag from the cut apart sheet. Additional flowers are added along with a sentiment banner.

The pocket portion on the folio is decorated with layered patterns, die cuts, and images from the cut apart sheet.

The back of the inside of the folio is finished with that same fabulous plaid. I'm using a double matting throughout for detail as well as adding sturdiness to the folio.

Inside the pocket is a large tag and folded inserts. 

I've used the B side of the papers as additional patterns to finish the insides and backs of the inserts.
