An Almost Back to School Layout using the Scholastic Collection

School is starting this week, and it looks nothing like it has ever before. Instead of prepping to go back into the classroom, in the Pacific Northwest, we are preparing to go virtual for the start of the year. At some point this summer, I had to head to my classroom and snapped this picture of it in all of it's glory. The Scholastic collection was perfect for this project, as the patterned papers include an amazing assortment of school-themed images.

I really loved the size of the patterned paper from the Scholastic 8x8 Bundle, so used all papers from that pad. The 12x12", 8x8", and Scholastic 8x8 Bundle12x12"8x8"6x6" papers are all scaled to the size of the paper.

To make the patterned papers stand out just a little more, I used a ruler and a white gel pen to draw in some faux stitching between all of the square pieces of the Scholastic collection.
Once the photo was situated, a few flowers from my stash and a title made from stickers completed this layout.
Journaling was easy, and a few cut strips of paper were the perfect easy way to create a lasting memory.

While this year may not look the same everywhere, I hope that you still celebrate those fun times and new memories for this school year.
