Chills & Thrill
Hey there, friends!! The haunting season is upon us!! And today I have this creepy little card using papers from Authentique's Masquerade Collection that are sure to give you the chills and thrills you're craving for!
I started with a 5" x 7" card base made from black cardstock.
Then, I cut my papers down to the following sizes:
Masquerade Six (Orange Buffalo Check/Plaid)- 6-7/8" x 4-7/8"
Masquerade Two (Black Spiderwebs)- 6-3/8" x 4-3/8"
Masquerade Two (White with Black Polka-dot) 6" x 4"
I used a Stub Corner Punch Crop-a-dile on each of the corners, including the corners on the card base.
Then layered and attached the Orange Plaid and Spiderweb papers onto the card base using my Xyron Mega Runner.
I created Blood Splatters on the last remaining layer before attaching it.
I used a Splatter Stencil and Barn Door Distress ink and simply rotated the stencil to alter the direction of the splatters.
Then inked all around the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.
With more black cardstock, I die cut out 3 each of Zombies, vampires, & Skeletons. Then stacked and adhered the die-cuts together to create make them "chipboard-like" in thickness.
I found a tattered banner that said "chills & thrills" in the sheet of Masquerade Elements and decided to ink them in Barn Door & Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Inks.
Finally, I attached all my monsters onto the card front.
I thought it would be cool if it looked like the Skeleton was the one carrying the sign and that the vampire was the boss and telling him what to do.
This gave me a good laugh! Check out my finished card...
I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy tutorial for today!
Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again soon!!
