Confidence & Kindness

Hello, Authentique Fans! I have a gorgeous card for you today. Using some of the lovely pink-hued papers from the Authentique Flawless Collection. I saw a quote that inspired me. It was one of the quotes from the Flawless Elements Die-cuts, a quote from Oscar de la Renta... "The qualities I admire most in a woman are confidence & kindness". It really spoke to me. These are the qualities I see in so many amazing women and these are qualities I want to see in myself. And I wanted it to take center stage on my card...

From the Authentique Flawless Collection, I used Flawless Three, Four, and Five to build my card.

I cut a piece of black cardstock to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored and folded it in half to create a square card base. 

For my mats, I cut my papers to the following sizes:

White Cardstock- 5 3/8" x 5 3/8"

Flawless Four (Pink Plaid)-  5 1/4"x 5 1/4"

White cardstock-4 7/8"x 4 7/8"

Flawless Three (Black Demask)- 4 3/4"x 4 3/4"

I used my Xyron Mega Runner to layer and attach my papers to my card base. 

I wrapped a piece of crinkle ribbon(aka- silk seam binding) around the bottom of the card and securing it around the back with more adhesive.

I die cut more white cardstock using my Sizzix Foldaway and Eileen Hull Mandala Die. I didn't poke out all the tidbits of this die. I left all but the outer ring of die-cut holes in place. Then I adhered it directly to my card front.

Then I popped out that beautiful quote from the Flawless Elements Die-cuts sheet, attached foam adhesive to the backside, mounted it onto my mandala, and added a bow made from more crinkle ribbon.

Then lastly, surrounded it with beautiful flowers and leaves.

I created this card for a dear friend that exudes these qualities. She just oozes with confidence and has one of the biggest hearts I've ever known.  I hope she loves it as much as I loved making it for her.
